My Journey as a Sound Therapist with the RestStation Lounge

12/28/17

My next session with the RestStation Lounge after being away from it for two weeks.  First, I’ll say that I felt the effects within 3 days of not being on the Lounge.  Muscles that I had released tension from were tense again and I had limited range of motion in my neck.

I decided to do the Hypothyroid to give my metabolism a jump-start during the busy holiday season.

It was late at night when I did this sound session.  I crossed ankles left over right.  I could feel the vibration in my thyroid and throat chakra.  It was also running up my arms from where my hands were placed palm down on the Lounge.   The vibration traveled down my legs to my knees but didn’t seem to go lower

]It felt really long when it was only 20M.  At one point, I bent my knees and put my feet on the Lounge because I know my whole body can be treated on the points on my feet.  At one time, I had the thought this might not be the best session to do before going to bed.

I was thinking about a weight-loss treatment for folks with hypothyroidism; and what I would accompany the session with to take it to a whole person treatment.

I was thinking about the person who might want to come once a week for a session for weight loss – either man or woman.  The session I would do in conjunction with this is for the lymph system; which will help with water retention and blockages in the emotional body.

Together with the thyroid treatment, it is a powerful combination to treat the physical and emotional aspects of weight gain, helplessness, the lymph drainage and stimulation of the thyroid gland.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

It didn’t happen!  My laptop went on the fritz!  Something was wrong with my laptop, not the Lounge.  I spent two days with a blue screen and a message that said, “We are updating your online security.”  What??!!

I had never seen anything like this on my computer.  It stayed there for two days.  Just a blue screen with that sentence on it.  Honestly, it freaked me out because so much of what I do is stored on that laptop.

Fear can be all-consuming sometimes.  Does anyone know what I’m talking about here?

I was so afraid that my laptop was irreparably broken and then what would I do.  I certainly didn’t have the money to replace it right now.  Additionally, I couldn’t use it with the RestStation Lounge.

It took me 3 days to get everything working correctly on my computer again.  God bless troubleshooting.  Although the additional systems installed with Windows 10 can be extremely frustrating if you choose to not use them as they slow the other functions down.  I’m not going off into a computer lesson or tangent here, so back on track.

What I did notice, blew my mind.  By the fourth day of not being able to use the RestStation Lounge, I noticed my neck was getting stiffer and my range of motion was getting more limited.  You might remember, I had been diagnosed with pinched nerves in my neck resulting from an injury at work.

My immediate response was to get my tuning forks and get on the BioMat.  For those of you who are not familiar with the BioMat, it is a 1 1/2″ thick mat that goes on a massage table or floor.  It has amethyst crystals in it, moves infrared heat through it and negative ions to create an energetic field of about a foot around it.  That includes the person laying on the mat.  (I’m a distributor of the BioMat as well.)  The pillow that comes with the mat has different crystals in it and creates a cooling sensation in the head as the infrared works with the rest of the body.

Anyway, I digress.  I spent hours on the BioMat.  Seriously, 3-4 hours a day to try to continue the progress on my neck and head that I had achieved on the RestStation Lounge.  I used OM Unison and OM Octave tuning forks on my head and neck to try to release the increasing tension I could feel building up again.  The migraine was like an echo circling on the right side of my head.  Nothing like before when I had to get a nerve block after 3 weeks of having it; but it was a shadow back where the migraine had been.

It’s been a week without the RestStation Lounge! while I’m trying to figure out how to get another electronic device to hook up the sound and vibrational frequency programming to the Lounge.  The potential sessions are on the internet.

I also discovered during this time, you can use YouTube and put those sound sessions through the Lounge as well.  That means not only do I have access to all the sessions programmed through http://pathways2purpose.org for the Lounge, but access to thousands of sound and vibrational sessions on YouTube

Here’s the part that really threw me.  My range of motion in my neck has decreased significantly without the daily use of the RestStation Lounge.  Wow!!

By significantly, I mean back to 1-2″ range of motion in all directions with my neck.  The pain has escalated to where I’ve been giving the pharmaceuticals they prescribed for me longing glances.

I’ve managed the pain and avoided taking pharmaceuticals with tuning forks and the BioMat.  However, without the RestStation Lounge included in my treatment protocol, I seem to be stuck.

I knew the RestStation Lounge was doing amazing things with the pain, nerves and range of motion in my neck; but even I did not realize how amazing!

I’ve made arrangements to get a Chromebook to enable me to get back on the Lounge and do additional sessions.   I’m expecting that to arrive today.  I’m excited to see the difference in my physical pain, range of motion and general health and well-being once I am again able to use the Lounge.

Stay posted!

I don’t know if you are half as excited as I am at this experience!?  I intended to be my experimental guinea pig in this process; but even I did not realize how much that would be true.  The universe is definitely in control here.

Thanks for being a part of this journey with me so far.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

Anger Management – Duration 20:45

I chose this session because I often get angry driving and have pretty bad road rage.  Lately I’m angry at a lot of things; like how the price of everything is going up – insurance, gas, groceries, rents, flights, food, clothing – most of what a person needs to survive much less thrive.  The problem is salaries are NOT going up and companies are demanding so much more from employees without giving them adequate raises that many people are suffering just trying to make ends meet.  Can you relate to what I’m talking about?

I struggle with patience and releasing this anger at times.  As a therapist, I have lots of tools to help me manage and release this and sometimes it just gets overwhelming.  Do you know what I mean?

When working with sound as a therapist, I work with the liver to release stagnant energy (anger) in the body.  It helps to keep me calmer.  I was curious if the Lounge would do the same thing.

It didn’t.  At least not in the same way as tuning forks would do so. Although I didn’t feel anything specifically in the liver, I found the vibrations and frequencies to be very relaxing.

I was actually quite startled when the sound and frequency treatment stopped.  It pulled me back very strongly from a place the sound and vibration took me.  I was very surprised because I didn’t feel like I had gone that deep;  but I obviously had.

I decided to balance the first session with a second session at the same time to treat another level of the physical body by lifting depression in the emotional body as well.

Lifting Depression – Duration = 20:01

I laid back down on the Lounge after recording my notes from the previous session, set the next one I wanted to do and laid back down.

The session started fine, but within 3 minutes my computer shut down again.  Without boring you with the details here, I tried several times with the same results and was unable to get everything working again.  My laptop kept shutting down and I got nervous about damaging it as I need it for my work.

At that point, I contacted Gary Ferguson to see if anyone else had any of these difficulties with the Lounge and if there was anyway it could damage or short out my computer.  Gary reassured me that the Lounge could not do such a thing; and the laptop was only providing the sound and vibration through a receiver to the Lounge through a USB cord.  Additionally, with thousands of Lounges in circulation, no one had experienced anything like what I was going through.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge…

Healing Regeneration and Wound – Duration = 29:49

I started this session with my legs crossed, left over right and could feel vibrations strongly in my calves.  From there, it went to my back behind my heart very strong.

I could feel it resonating down my legs and across my mid-back the strongest.  I reached the same spot on the sound/frequency program and the system popped and shut down.  Twice.

The first time, I thought it was some kind of glitch and maybe I had set things up incorrectly.  I couldn’t figure out how, because it is very straightforward and simple to set up and connect to your electronic device.

I was using my laptop and it shut off my computer both times.  I went through all the motions to get it back up and running and in the same spot it did it again.

I give up today.  I don’t believe in coincidences, so I will try again tomorrow and see if the same thing happens again.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge:

Hypothyroid – Duration = 21:17

Having been previously diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I thought this might be a good session for me to help heal that issue.  If you have this condition, you know it has many, many effects that are unpleasant from extremely dry skin to hair loss, to lack of sleep or constant exhaustion to just name a few.

At first, I just enjoyed the vibrations coming from the Lounge.  I had automatically crossed my ankles left over right this time.  Within the first two moments of laying down on the Lounge, I could feel the vibrations in my thyroid.

The vibration itself seemed more centered in my hips/legs in the physical Lounge; but I could REALLY feel it in my throat.

It was like it skipped over everything in between and went directly to where it was needed the most to bring my body back into resonance.  I fell asleep.

RestStation Lounge

What a lot of people don’t realize when it comes to thyroid issues is it can become pretty common in men when they reach their early fifties.  In some cases, men even younger.  Many men don’t think of this as a medical issue which can affect them, as it is considered more of a female disease or problem.

Whether you are male or female, having hypothyroidism can be very challenging on a physical level when trying to meet the demands of your life.

I will be doing this session more often to see the long-terms effects I notice on a physical level.

My Journey With the RestStation Lounge (13)

My next session on the RestStation Lounge…

Muscle Pain and Injury – Duration = 52:42

I’ve been having severe migraines and neck pain since 10/16/17.  I never heard of anyone having a migraine for over 3 weeks.  Have you?  Additionally, I never have had a migraine in my life.  So this was really strange.

After a week of having a relentless migraine, I went to the hospital emergency room.  I was concerned because my family has a history of stroke and brain tumors and aneurysms.  I didn’t know what was going on.

I’ve been hospitalized, stuffed with pharmaceuticals, opioids, steroids, MRIs, Cat Scans – on and on.  After awhile you just feel like a guinea pig.  It’s like they don’t know; so they go down a punch list to say, “Well, it’s not that.”  and just start ruling things out.

I first tried this treatment (muscle pain and injury) on 11/3 with interesting results.

In this treatment, I could feel the vibration focus mostly on my spine, legs, neck, and head.  I did run energy for it (I explained previously) as I knew it would help the energetic vibration flow not only in my physical body but in my energetic body as well.  It did.

After this session on the Lounge, I felt pretty unsteady on my feet.  Of course, that had been happening with the migraine beforehand too.  But this time, it felt like I was ungrounded.  So I want to take a moment to remind people to ground before getting up.  Take your time.  Let things land after the session ends.  We are always in such a hurry to get moving again.

Putting roots from your feet into the earth is a good visual to use.  Drinking water and going to the bathroom is also very good for grounding.

Important to note – I stopped all pain medications 3 days ago.  After this session I can move my neck 4-5″ in each direction.  Before this session, I could only move it 1″ in each direction.

That is a HUGE improvement as far as I am concerned.  It was definitely due to the sessions on the Lounge.

Recent Update:  When I went to see the neurologist today, he told me I had several pinched nerves in my neck.  He told me I could expect to be getting migraines now and have continued neck pain.

I told him I did not expect that to happen with the sound therapy and vibrational medicine treatments I was doing on the RestStation Lounge and in my other work as a sound and vibrational therapist.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge:

Energize and Re-Charge – Duration = 32:08

The energetic part of this treatment was immediate for me.  First the waves which I think calm most people, as it establishes an emotional connection with relaxation, the beach, stress release and release of negative emotion.

When listening, I could feel the sound filling places which had released earlier either physically or emotionally.  I think one of the most important things as a sound therapist to notice is what is invited into those released spaces?

When you do a sound and vibrational session with someone to clear something from their field, do you then invite a new energy in to fill that space?  Or do you leave it?  If so, how long before you or your client has taken back on the issue that was originally released?

I invited re-charge (or what I call reset) and re-energized those spaces that previously held dis-ease or lack of resonance in the body.  For instance, if I clear and release stress, then I would invite peace or serenity or acceptance to energetically fill the empty space in my field.

I find this helps in NOT taking back on the energy of what you released in a session either with yourself or a client.

What do you do?

One of the great things about the RestStation Lounge (and there are several) is that it is set at zero gravity.  When you lay on it you are in a space of total comfort and held without any participation on your part.  You can also connect to other sound healing attunements that are available on YouTube and run them through the lounge.

It comes with access to lots of programs and I’ve been working through those; but I just briefly listened to a sound and vibrational healing for inflammation on YouTube and ran it through the Lounge.

The really exciting thing was that it picked up the frequencies and vibrated them through the Lounge along with the sound.  I was very impressed with this capability and the experience.  I was also very excited at what that meant on another level.  Not only did I have access to all the programs through

http://pathways2purpose.org

but this meant I also could access thousands of other sound and frequency healing sessions available on YouTube as well.

That literally put thousands of sessions at my fingertips for myself, veterans and my other clients.

My Journey With the RestStation Lounge (11)

My next session with the RestStation Lounge…

Nerves – Neuralgia and Nerve Inflammation, Duration = 41:56

I’ve been suffering from intense pain in my neck and headaches severe enough to make it impossible to find relief.  I was in the hospital for tests on my neck and head.  They ruled out stroke or heart attack and prescribed all kinds of medications.  Some of them were dangerous to be taken together for more than 2 days.  Of course, those were the ones that stopped the headaches.  Then I realized my neck was so tight and painful that I could not move it more than an inch in any direction…side/side or up/down.

I chose this treatment because I thought I had a pinched nerve in my neck.  I did this session first thing in the morning when I woke up at 5am.  The session was relaxing and the vibrations worked from my feet to my neck with the sound coming through the headphones.  At times, the sound was loud but if I turned it down, I lost the strength of the vibration.

Immediate Results – When the session ended, I didn’t have a headache but had a different feeling (not pain, but unusual) in my head, kind of like an echo of a headache.  Sounds weird.

I did have improved range of motion in my neck – side/side and up/down with an additional 1” range of motion.  Headache is not as prominent as it has been for 3 weeks.  It has kind of taken a back seat to neck pain as something more manageable.

The Neurologist wants to do 4 injections of cortisone/steroids in all the cervical vertebrae in my neck.  I don’t want to do that and am looking at sound and vibration therapy as an alternative.  The RestStation Lounge is offering me hope in this area.  In the meantime, I continue to do work in the emotional and energetic body to see what is causing this to happen in my head and neck.

My Journey With the RestStation Lounge Continues (10)

My next session with the Reststation Lounge…

Back Pain and Spasms – Duration = 45:08

I really liked this one.  The vibration was very strong through my legs, back and bottom.  It then built in strength.  I went with the music which talked about releasing it all to dolphins and waves and whales.   I felt the instructions at the beginning of this one would be helpful for some folks.  It helped me realize I could do this shifting and releasing safely and let go of how that would have to happen.

I imagined the sound and vibration as bubbles against my skin and the different world of being underwater.  As a scuba diver, I love the weightlessness of floating in water or allowing a current to carry you somewhere effortlessly.  There is such beauty around; and literally millions of different beings.  When diving, I discovered I breathe differently underwater.  I realized I was now breathing that way.  Deep, effortless, balanced breaths were coming from my diaphragm.

A few times the intensity was strong. I almost got up to turn it down, but realized I must be shifting something as I had already checked the sound in the beginning.  Then it would shift … or I would and we would start over again.

This session felt extremely calming and relaxing and yet invigorating and energizing in a balanced way.

My Journey With the Reststation Lounge (9)

My next session with the Reststation Lounge…

Angel – Duration = 30:28 min

I didn’t feel any vibration.  I kept expecting it and missed it.  There was one crystal bowl – very loud, frequency was off for me.  I found it very annoying, and actually took the headphones off my ears.

There was another spot where I expected the sound and vibration to get lighter and more etheric and it did the exact opposite and got lower and thunderous.

It felt agitating to me.  I could guess it was for grounding to then take it to a higher level, but it felt yucky to me for some reason.  I wanted it to stop.  It felt/sounded like the “da da DA” in a movie or something.  I’ll do a balance because my energy field feels really off in my higher chakras now.

This was completely unexpected for me.  I expected to have a totally different experience.

Same Day

Immediate next session with the Lounge

Chakra Balancing – Duration = 30m

It definitely felt like my chakras were balanced with the sound and vibration of the bed.  However, I still felt a loss in the upper chakras.

I wanted more of the vibration I feel when working with other sound tools like tuning forks and/or bowls when they are placed on the body of a person.  I intend on trying it with a bowl at a later time, or the Chakra Tuning forks for the upper levels.

The Lounge vibration and energy feels like it is targeting the lower physical body and chakras than coming all the way up through the 6th, 7th and 8th chakras.

I’ve since had this conversation with the designer of the Lounge, Gary Ferguson.   We’ve discussed how to include things in the design of the Lounge to bring the sound and vibrational attunement up into the higher levels of the body.
