I’m looking for  Veterans to have a FREE session on the Lounge.  I’ll start setting them up for Saturdays during February.  If you would like to try the Lounge and one of the sound healing sessions, please contact me below

I’ve  included the video interview I did with Pathways for Veterans regarding the RestStation Lounge.

My Journey as a Sound Therapist with the RestStation Lounge

12/28/17

My next session with the RestStation Lounge after being away from it for two weeks.  First, I’ll say that I felt the effects within 3 days of not being on the Lounge.  Muscles that I had released tension from were tense again and I had limited range of motion in my neck.

I decided to do the Hypothyroid to give my metabolism a jump-start during the busy holiday season.

It was late at night when I did this sound session.  I crossed ankles left over right.  I could feel the vibration in my thyroid and throat chakra.  It was also running up my arms from where my hands were placed palm down on the Lounge.   The vibration traveled down my legs to my knees but didn’t seem to go lower

]It felt really long when it was only 20M.  At one point, I bent my knees and put my feet on the Lounge because I know my whole body can be treated on the points on my feet.  At one time, I had the thought this might not be the best session to do before going to bed.

I was thinking about a weight-loss treatment for folks with hypothyroidism; and what I would accompany the session with to take it to a whole person treatment.

I was thinking about the person who might want to come once a week for a session for weight loss – either man or woman.  The session I would do in conjunction with this is for the lymph system; which will help with water retention and blockages in the emotional body.

Together with the thyroid treatment, it is a powerful combination to treat the physical and emotional aspects of weight gain, helplessness, the lymph drainage and stimulation of the thyroid gland.

My Journey as a Sound Therapist With the RestStation Lounge (16)

My next session with the RestStation Lounge…

Healing Regeneration and Wound – Duration = 29:49

I started this session with my legs crossed, left over right and could feel vibrations strongly in my calves.  From there, it went to my back behind my heart very strong.

I could feel it resonating down my legs and across my mid-back the strongest.  I reached the same spot on the sound/frequency program and the system popped and shut down.  Twice.

The first time, I thought it was some kind of glitch and maybe I had set things up incorrectly.  I couldn’t figure out how, because it is very straightforward and simple to set up and connect to your electronic device.

I was using my laptop and it shut off my computer both times.  I went through all the motions to get it back up and running and in the same spot it did it again.

I give up today.  I don’t believe in coincidences, so I will try again tomorrow and see if the same thing happens again.

The Reststation Lounge Journey Continues

As I started speaking with Gary Ferguson regularly, I checked out the websites and the programs offered for Veterans.

One of the conversations we had was the V.A. would rarely pay for alternative healthcare therapies.  Some of those very modalities that would go hand in hand with what healthcare the V.A. was providing for Veterans.  (Remember our prior discussion about treating the whole person:  mind, body and spirit.)

So unless a healthcare practitioner was willing to work out of the goodness of their heart, or offer reduced or discounted work they didn’t get paid.  Or couldn’t continue to offer these services for long as they couldn’t afford to do so.

Gary thought ahead about this and the commitment of the Veterans to be part of a program for wellness and well-being.  He is the expert on this and much more knowledgeable than I am about the program and how it works.  But here is the link to the website to get more information on the specifics of the program and how it works:

What Happens Next?

After checking out the websites Gary Ferguson recommended:

www.pathwaysforveterans.org and www.pathways2purpose.org

I decided I was interested in learning more and working together with Gary towards my original goal of helping and working with Veterans.

I’ve set up my home as a Wellness Center in Littleton Colorado and I am now a designated Research Center for the Reststation Lounge.

The Journey Begins

Gary flew into Denver and we met officially when I picked him up.  We went to the existing location of the Reststation Lounge in Colorado and moved it to my home.  This unit was not a portable unit but was easy to dismantle and move on dollies.  We then moved it into my home and set it up.

At that point, I was pretty tired and still needed to take Gary back to the hotel.  Mr. Ferguson suggested I do a session on the Reststation Lounge to try it out and make sure everything was working properly.

We programmed the session for “Energize & Re-Charge” which was exactly what I needed.  He sat outside in the fresh Colorado air and enjoyed the essence and ambiance of my yard while I was on the Lounge.

The instructions for a new user are pretty easy and easy to set up.  You lay on the lounge, which is at zero gravity.  You place the headphones over your ears.  The practitioner working with you will help determine the sound levels are correct and comfortable.  You place your hands palm down on the Lounge and the neck pillow behind your neck.

The practitioner starts the program and leaves the room.  For the next 20-25 minutes I listened to the sound frequencies and felt the vibrational frequencies through my palms and up/down my body.

You might be wondering how I felt?  Twenty minutes later, the program stopped.  I laid there for a few minutes to let the treatment settle, just as I would with a sound client.  I took off the headphones and sat up on the edge of the Lounge and did a personal checkin.

I realized the exhaustion was gone.  I did feel renewed and re-energized and knew without a doubt I could easily drive the 45 minutes back to the airport hotel and another 45 minutes home again.  Needless to say, I was impressed.

My agreement with Gary is to blog about my experience with the Reststation Lounge as a Sound Healer; noting my experiences, suggestions and thoughts.

Stay Tuned for my Daily Sessions and Observations…

Planting Seeds

Planting seeds video made me think of all the different inspirations and passions and sometimes just plain craziness that makes me do something.

And I rejoiced that after all these years I’m still doing it.

I might come up with some crazy ideas.  And I might come up with some not so crazy.  Whichever.  It doesn’t matter.

I think the important part is that I’m still trying, sharing, creating, and inspiring.  Maybe in great ways, maybe in quirky ways, maybe in some determined as crazy.

What about you?  Please comment below about one of the ways you are creating, sharing and inspiring others.

It also reminded me of planting trees in the Dominican Republic in January, 2017 with my daughter CeCe (Cecilia Cogswell).  Some trees will grow, thrive, bear fruit, give shade and succeed.  Others will perish.

I remember that feeling of placing the little seedling in the ground, holding it gently and setting an intention for it to grow strong and sure.  Placing it in a hole, pouring some water from my bottle into it and adding dirt back in and around it to provide support.  Asking the Earth Mother to nurture another new little life into full growth and realization of potential.

I found myself thinking about those little seedlings more than once over this past year.

All we can do is persevere…and allow the magic to make a difference.

Please comment…

GRATEFUL A Love Song to the World

GRATEFUL

A Love Song to the World

Musicians Nimo Patel and Daniel Nahmod brought together dozens of people from around the world to create this beautiful, heart-opening melody. Inspired by the 21-Day Gratitude Challenge, the song is a celebration of our spirit and all that is a blessing in life. For the 21 Days, over 11,000 participants from 118 countries learned that “gratefulness” is a habit cultivated consciously and a muscle built over time. As a famous Roman, Cicero, once said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” This soul-stirring music video, created within a week by a team of volunteers, shines the light on all the small things that make up the beautiful fabric of our lives.

2017 = A New Year

As the New Year approaches, how do you prepare?  Do you?

Are you one of those folks who just plan what you are going to wear or do to celebrate the changing from one year to the next?

Are you one of those folks who can’t be bothered with all the hoopla … stay home and have a quiet night with loved ones?

Do you do what I did when my kids were small and plan an event with them like dinner out, zoo lights and banging pots and pans when the ball drops at midnight?

Whatever your traditions are and whatever way you decide to bring in this ‘new’ universal one year, I wish you the best.  It is truly a new beginning and the energies are aligning to support you in moving forward and creating in a new and conscious way.

I encourage you to learn from this past election.  Try to be truthful in all you say and do.  Treat others with kindness and respect.  Be open to the unusual and synchronistic events that show up in your life.  Embrace the unknown with a sense of adventure and curiosity.

Follow the ‘golden rule’ and treat others as you want to be treated.  Remember the laws of Karma.  It is a good rule to live by.  Try to give more.  Try to receive more.  Try to love more.  Try to be lovable.

When life hands you lemons (and it will) take the time to make lemonade!   Might you take a moment to let go of drama?  Maybe you want to create space for more peace and relaxation?

If something that appears to be bad happens to you, could you not judge it as bad?  Maybe try to skip ahead 6 months to when you will look back on those events and say, “What a blessing that was and I didn’t even know it at the time.”

Receive the blessing in the moment of creation.  Know that you are loved and cared for and there is no way you could ever know the full extent of what that looks like every moment.

So don’t judge.  Trust.  Be present.  Embrace happiness and try to have fun with it.  That’s what I’m going to do.

See you on the flip side!

Wishing you and yours a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Abundant New Year filled with Love, Light, Blessings and Sound!

November Astrology – Supermoon, Meteor Showers, Oh MY

Things to note …

Mars visibility close to the moon (early in the month).  You can see better in early morning sky.

On November 11th, you can see the Taurid Meteor Shower.  The meteors appear to come from the constellation of Taurus (northeast of Orion).  Again, better seen in a place with the least amount of light pollution.

November’s full moon is a SUPERMOON! on November 14th at 6:15 am EST.  It will be the closest to the Earth in the last 69 years.  When it rises about 5 pm is when it will look so HUGE!  It won’t be this close to Earth again until November 2034.  Weather permitting, definitely worth letting your eyes travel towards the heavens for a peak.

The second meteor shower of the month on November 16th, The Leonid meteor shower gives you a chance to see up to 15 shooting stars an hour.

I suggest getting out of the city into someplace with less light pollution and make a wish!!

So what does all this mean to you?

We’ll see some extremely high tides and extremely low tides if you live near the ocean.

La Luna governs your emotions.  With the power of this moon, you might notice feelings that you have not been wanting to look at in the past put in an appearance.  Many, many people are smothered in the feeling realm right now.

Full moons are about things coming to completion and releasing, getting ready for the next cycle.  NOW is the time to let go of the stuff that doesn’t serve you anymore.

This full moon is in Taurus.  Taurus means grounded, earthy and manifestation to me.  It’s about self-worth and what you value and manifest in your life.  I look at it as an opportunity to really practice being grounded in the midst of turmoil.  To stay serene and calm in the face of adversity.  Practice, practice, practice and notice what comes up for you in the meantime.

Consider this …

Do I treat myself respectfully?

Do I allow others to take advantage of my kindness?

Do I listen to my inner voice about what’s ‘good’ for me?

Is my outer world an accurate reflection of my inner world?

Who in my life is not an accurate reflection of the way I want to be treated by others?

Allow those parts that you don’t really want to look at to be there without judging them as good or bad.  Love them anyway.

Now that you can see the Shadow, or those things that have been hidden away for some time…love them anyway.

Each of these cosmic events have an energetic cycle and frequency.  They are all overlapping with some meteor showers and comets flying through …  sound like FUN!  I’m laughing as I write this.

The biggest message I want to share with you is to be grounded, work on balancing your emotions and be kind to yourself in the process.

The new moon towards the end of the month will be in the energy of Jupiter – an expansion into JOY!!

We will be ready for it.

Blessings to all,  Nasiri

As always, I look forward to hearing from you, reading your comments and having you share my blog with your friends.
