My Journey as a Sound Therapist with the RestStation Lounge for Veterans

2/25/18

Oxygen;  Duration: 32:05

This session consists of ocean waves mostly.  You hear them crashing on the shore.  You hear them lapping at a boat.  You feel like you are floating and it sounds like your ears underwater at one point.  You hear them gently caressing a shore.

I immediately calm and my mind takes me to the ocean.  Next thing I know I’m taking a deep breath as I think of how I feel there and how the salt air smells.  The salt air releases negativity and just the memory of it will do the same thing.

It took me on different levels of breathing.  I felt oxygenated from the inside/out if that makes sense.  When you relax, you relax into diaphragmatic breathing.  It’s funny because we do that naturally as soon as we fall asleep.  Even if you are a chest breather (a lot of people are), when you fall asleep you revert to your natural breathing state which is from the diaphragm.

This session helped me to relax and I slept really good when I went to bed afterwards.

Neuralgia and Nerve Inflammation;  Duration 41:56

During this session, my feet were crossed left over right.  There wasn’t really any vibration coming through the Lounge; although the sound seemed to be everywhere.

I felt like a tingling blanket/towel (maybe a 1×1′ square) in different places on my body at different times.  There were noticeable energetic pattern shifts where it took me from one level to another emotionally.  For instance, where I went from calm and relaxed to active and thinking.  No thought to planning thoughts.

I was having twinges of pain in my neck on the left side earlier today.  My legs were feeling restless and twitchy like when you have to swing your foot or they just went settle down.

The session seemed to calm all of that down somehow.  The sound just felt like it was inviting me on a journey and I went.

I’ve been writing about this experience for awhile now and I haven’t heard very much back from people.  Please take a moment and drop me a note or a question about my experience?  Or how it might pertain to you?  What benefits you might experience from just one session with the RestStation Lounge?

Maybe you would like to sign up for a FREE session to try it out.  Please contact me below and we’ll set it up.

Etheric Sweep;  Duration:  48:09

This is one of my favorite sound sessions on the RestStation Lounge.  I have done this same one for the past 4 days in a row now.  I usually do it at the end of my work day.  Each time I do this session, I literally feel like someone or something is sweeping over my energy field (or body) and gathering up all the stuff that isn’t mine and taking it away.

You know what I’m talking about here?  I’m referring to the people throughout my day who feel they need to tell me negative things or gossip.  People who are angry and want to share that with someone; even though I tell them I am not the person to receive that or offer something positive back to them.

I immediately feel calmer after the Etheric Sweep and more relaxed; but it’s more than that!  It’s like a coming home or back to my Self.  Like all of a sudden, a realization like, “Oh.  There I AM!”

It really helps me to let go of my day and all the energies associated with work, interactions with others, traffic, driving, frustrations and things that didn’t go quite the way I wanted them too.

I think about Veterans when I do this session and about how it could help them to release the past.  And in the midst of that release, rediscover themselves in the process.

I will continue to do this one, among others for that feeling specifically of coming home to myself after being away for awhile.

It also helps me let go of disappointment of others who don’t follow through or do what they say they will.  Judgement.  Expectations.

I think it increases my sense of well-being enough that it also increases my levels of peace and patience.  And trust me, I am NOT a patient woman.

General Inflammation Healing Frequencies – Duration: 30:00

Most people have inflammation in their bodies somewhere.  I’m one of them.  It shows up as arthritis, painful joints, puffy skin, bloating, edema and in more ways than that.  It is not healthy for your body.

The session started and I had initially crossed my legs.  It didn’t feel right, so I uncrossed them and it felt better.

How many times have you had a feeling that something didn’t feel right and you didn’t change it?  For whatever reason you didn’t “trust your gut” and follow your intuition.

I didn’t notice anything extraordinary.  At one point in time, it felt like I got one of those inside/out chills.  I remember the last time I did a session for inflammation.

It felt like this heat coming out from the inside of my body.  This didn’t feel like that.  It actually felt the opposite of that.

It felt like a pins and needles feeling; so tingling all over my stomach, chest and neck.

I could feel the sound waves traveling through my body, but only felt the tingling in my chest, neck area.  I was noticing the interesting thoughts that were coming up for me during this session as well.

If we are treating the body, mind and spirit (and we are) then those thoughts are important and trying to get my attention.  I allow them to be and note the thoughts and/or memories that come up for me during a session.  Then I intentionally release them.  Just let them go.

Collagen Building Frequency Healing – Duration:  33:33

I thought I would channel some of the healing sound frequencies on YouTube through the Lounge and see what the results were and how it felt.  I especially wanted to see if it felt different from the programs that come with the Lounge.

I didn’t sleep well last night and my face looked tired this morning.  So, I thought this might be a nice way to wake up at 5:00 a.m.

The sounds and vibrations were higher and more centered from the heart space up on my body.  The frequencies were light and uplifting and tingly.  I especially felt it on my face,

There was like a layer of vibration over my skin.  It is hard to describe as it felt like some kind of living organism.  You know how suddenly your hair will stand on end in response to a vibrational frequency in your vicinity?  It felt kind of like that.  But of course my hair wasn’t standing on end.

This was uplifting and enjoyable.  It was a great way to start my day.  I just took a look in the mirror and my face looks more relaxed, brighter somehow and has fewer lines/wrinkles.  I say that because I don’t look tired and drawn anymore.

My skin looks like it does right after getting a facial.  You know that refreshed, younger and almost dewy look.  I’ll do this one again.

It was available on YouTube.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

Frequency Healing for Inflammation – Duration:  30:00

I’m one of those people who tend to run high for inflammation in my body.  Part of this is hereditary as rheumatoid arthritis runs in one side of my family.   I thought this would be a good session for me to do.

I try to be pro-active about my health.  I don’t have to be skinny or a weight lifter, I just want to be fit and strong.  I want to be able to do the things I want to do when I want to do them.

This is one of the great things about the Lounge.  You can run other sound and frequency programs through it.  It doesn’t have to only include the sound sessions that come with the program from Pathways For Veterans.

www.pathwaysforveterans.com

The way the Lounge is set up, you can run the thousands of programs on YouTube through the Lounge.  You just use the device you are running sound on – whether it is your phone, computer, laptop, iPad, or chromebook (among others) – and hook it up to the receiver for the Lounge.  Then when you start the sound session, it runs the sound frequencies through the Lounge and you get the vibro-acoustics while you are listening in the headphones.

One of the first things I noticed was how strong the vibratory resonance coming through the Lounge was than some of the other sessions I had done.  Within seconds, this warm heat was flooding my body from the inside/out.  It was a very pleasant feeling.

The vibrations wee much stronger on my legs and then it moved up into my pelvic/buttock area.  It progressed further up into my back/stomach area soon after that.

I was relaxed and even though I tried to stay awake for the entire session, I dozed off at the end of it for about 5 minutes I think.

Sitting up to write this, I felt very thirsty and had some minor cramping in my left foot.  Off to get some water to hydrate and allow the frequencies to magnify, as they do in water.  Watching for results.

The following morning, I noticed that I was thirstier today and was urinating more frequently.  Additionally, some of the muscle aches and pains I traditionally have were gone.  That was pretty cool.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge…

Liver Treatment – Duration: 22:50

I thought this session might help to support my liver function and to help me on an emotional level.  The liver is often associated with the emotion of anger in the body.

The session was relaxing first of all.  It was calming and soothing which is a very helpful opposite energy and emotion for anger.

I crossed my feet and felt the vibro-acoustic waves flowing through and around my body.  I can’t say I had anything earth-shattering happen;  but I did get off the Lounge with an increased sense of well-being and calmness.

I did not have that when I laid down on the Lounge before the session.

My paired session with this one was Oxygen – Duration:  32:05

I’ve started trying to pair different sessions together to see what will happen when I layer different energetics and frequencies together, as I would in an individual sound session with me.

The sound treatment started with waves crashing on a shore.  I remember thinking I would be breathing deeply of the salt air and feeling the sand between my toes.

I did feel my breathing slow down and become deeper.  It felt relaxing and comfortable.  I felt at home and at rest.  Before I knew it I was using deep belly breaths like you do when you are falling asleep or deep in meditation.

The next thing I know, I woke up!  In my experience doing sound sessions with clients, I know that when they fall asleep during a session, it is a way for the healing frequencies to bypass the mental aspect of the mind and go much deeper into the subconscious and the energy body for an in-depth healing to take place.

When I woke up, I felt relaxed and refreshed like I had a much longer nap than 20 minutes.

I felt the two sessions combined helped to shift me into a better place emotionally and my energy was much calmer the next few days.

I mentioned before that I’m looking for some Veterans who want to experience the vibro-acoustics of the RestStation Lounge for a trial period in February, 2018.  If this is you or someone you know, please reach out to me through the contact form below or on my Facebook page and let me know.  Let’s get you scheduled to have an amazing experience.  You won’t regret the decision to try this.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

Heart Health – Duration:  30:25

I thought this would be a good session to accompany the PTSD session and take it to the next level of an emotional heart healing.  If we are releasing trauma from PTSD, then it would leave an emotional space open for release or for healing.

We all know the physical aspects of the heart… that steady, consistent beat in our chest of all the valves pumping blood throughout our body.  Keeping us alive.  We know when we’ve been fearful or very excited and we’ve felt it race and pound as well.

The vibro-acoustics coming through the Lounge were soothing, calming and loving.  I say that and you might wonder why or how?  It felt loving (soothing, calming, gentle like a hug.)

My heart ached a little bit and I thought, “What was making my heartache?”  And some thoughts came to me about some things that had hurt my heart.  I released them as they came to my consciousness and I let them go.

Each one I “looked” at and released helped to lighten the tightness I felt in my heart space, until it felt normal again.

The Lounge then sent vibrations down through my legs and arms.  That felt like it was moving and shifting things the rest of the way out of my energy field.

I definitely recommend doing these two sessions together.  It would take an hour of your time.  Are you worth an hour of relaxation and a sound tune up?  I would do this more than once, depending on the levels of PTSD and pain you are holding in your heart space because of it.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

PTSD – Mild/Moderate – Duration:  30:00

I thought I would do this as it would be really valuable for Veterans; at least one would think so.  But I also thought, I’ve had a lot of trauma in my life – mental, emotional and physical – why wouldn’t it be good for me to do?

The session started by telling me to give all my trauma over to the ocean, dolphins and whales that I would hear.  The sounds of the ocean are so peaceful and soothing.

I quickly began to breathe deeply and slowly.  I thought of some instances of emotional trauma that I could give the dolphins.  I love dolphins as they seem such gentle and happy creatures.  I would like to be more like them.  They seem carefree.  The dance on water, laugh a lot and live in pods.

The whales however seem to have such mammoth strength and endurance and their eyes are full of wisdom and gentleness.  I thought they might be strong enough to handle some of the physical trauma my body has endures, so I gave the physical trauma to them.

I felt cold, energy releasing from different areas of my body moving in direct relationship to the vibro-acoustics coming through the Lounge.  As it moved, so did the energetic release.

At one point, it felt like waves washing up//down my physical body and energy field.

I would recommend this for all veterans and other people too.  Basically anyone who has had physical or emotional trauma.

You will definitely feel better after this session.  I did.

If you live in the Littleton area, please contact me directly to try a session on the RestStation Lounge.  If you are a Veteran, I’m running a free trial session for interested Veterans.  Please fill out the contact me form if you are interested in releasing some of the trauma from your service to your country.  Take the first step back into your life at home.

The RestStation Lounge and Pathways for Veterans Program/Littleton

1/6/2018

I want to talk a minute about why I’m doing this.  A lot of people don’t think of sound as a healing therapy.  A bunch of people think when something hurts, or you are physically in pain or sick you go to a doctor and they’ll fix you.  The doctor usually prescribes a bunch of medications, opioids and other energy suppressants.   They anesthetize you into thinking your okay when you’re not.  The original problem is still there.  Except now it’s worse because you need to take the medication to feel “normal”.

Over the years of working with sound as a therapy, I’ve discovered that unless you treat the whole person – mind, body, spirit – you are just putting a band-aid on symptoms.  Then you end up in surgery or worse.  I realized 25 years ago, it doesn’t have to be that way.  You have the power to change your life; to change feeling or being in pain all the time; to change feeling like you will never just be your Self again.

Sound can do that for you.   We all vibrate to a specific and unique frequency and vibration, along with every other thing in the Universe.  If we are out of balance, or out of resonance with the rest of our body or environment, we experience dis-ease or physical and emotional problems.  However, I believe that when you bring your Self back into resonance or balance in your vibration/frequency you release the dis-ease or physical and emotional problems. And hey, if you get to lie down while you are doing it?  Makes sense to me to get a regular Tune Up as you do for your car/vehicle.

I’ve been thinking of Veterans for some time.  How they put their lives on the line for our country.  To be of service!  To preserve and protect!

I’ve spoken with Veterans and they all said, “It was better to keep it over there, than let it come here.”  Wherever there was!

I think it’s time we give something back to them.

Pathways for Veterans is dedicated to healing the spiritual war wounds of the men and women of our military. Our mission is to create a safe environment where all veterans can experience being heard and are given the tools to re-purpose themselves in mind, body and spirit.

Ordinary people can go and make a donation to Pathways for Veterans

http://pathwaysforveterans.com/littleton

to help Veterans get some much-needed alternative therapy to treat their whole person – body, mind and spirit.  This program will help them look at the changes in who they are now and learn to accept themselves in the process.

Combined with the sound and vibrational sessions on the RestStation Lounge (see blog articles) they can receive treatment for a multitude of things:

  1. PTSD
  2. Anxiety
  3. Depression
  4. Muscle Pain
  5. Radiation Burns
  6. Loss of Limb Pain
  7. Insomnia and nightmares and so much more.

Is there a Veteran in your life?  Please share my blog with them.  Invite them to see what a person’s experience is in straight out terms.

www.soundslikehealth.com

You might be the catalyst of change for them taking the next step towards their discovery and recovery of who they have become in the process of serving their country.  Not only that, but how do they now fit back into their lives?  How do they reconnect with their wives and children and families?
