My Journey as a Sound Therapist with the RestStation Lounge

My next sessions with the RestStation Lounge …

Mucus – Duration:  10:00

Okay it is cold and flu season.  I ply my body with Vitamin C to get me through this time of year.  But we can all use a little help.  To this end, I thought I would do this session as everyone around me is coughing and hacking.

When I started listening to the sound I found it to be irritating at times.  I did it anyway because there are too many sick people around me right now.  I can feel my body trying to fight something off so I thought I would lend some vibrational support.

At times it felt like my head was floating on water with waves lapping against it.  However, there was a high frequency whine that I found very annoying.

My sinuses were dry afterwards.  I didn’t sleep well after this session and the next one.

Follow up session to provide additional support for the physical form …

Immune Stimulant – Duration:  42:42

This was relaxing and I felt myself go far away in my mind.  There wasn’t anything that really stuck out with this session for me.  It was more about providing the support for my immune system to keep fighting off the germs that I’m being deluged with on a daily basis.

We can all do our part by washing our hands, and covering our mouths when we cough or sneeze … and then washing our hands.

I did this session with the mucus session tonight as my body is fighting off that cold/cough/flu thing that’s going around.  I was hoping to give my immune system a boost.  I wanted to provide it with a little more support.  So I guess I’ll be able to tell in the morning and tomorrow if I notice any difference from when I woke up today.

I can say I had a hard night.  I didn’t sleep well and this morning had a lot of mucus drainage and coughing.  Did it work?  I feel much better this afternoon and evening.  So YES!

I love that I can get on the RestStation Lounge for about an hour total and address something that is happening to me on a physical, mental and emotional level and then it’s taken care of!

The RestStation Lounge and Pathways for Veterans Program/Littleton

1/6/2018

I want to talk a minute about why I’m doing this.  A lot of people don’t think of sound as a healing therapy.  A bunch of people think when something hurts, or you are physically in pain or sick you go to a doctor and they’ll fix you.  The doctor usually prescribes a bunch of medications, opioids and other energy suppressants.   They anesthetize you into thinking your okay when you’re not.  The original problem is still there.  Except now it’s worse because you need to take the medication to feel “normal”.

Over the years of working with sound as a therapy, I’ve discovered that unless you treat the whole person – mind, body, spirit – you are just putting a band-aid on symptoms.  Then you end up in surgery or worse.  I realized 25 years ago, it doesn’t have to be that way.  You have the power to change your life; to change feeling or being in pain all the time; to change feeling like you will never just be your Self again.

Sound can do that for you.   We all vibrate to a specific and unique frequency and vibration, along with every other thing in the Universe.  If we are out of balance, or out of resonance with the rest of our body or environment, we experience dis-ease or physical and emotional problems.  However, I believe that when you bring your Self back into resonance or balance in your vibration/frequency you release the dis-ease or physical and emotional problems. And hey, if you get to lie down while you are doing it?  Makes sense to me to get a regular Tune Up as you do for your car/vehicle.

I’ve been thinking of Veterans for some time.  How they put their lives on the line for our country.  To be of service!  To preserve and protect!

I’ve spoken with Veterans and they all said, “It was better to keep it over there, than let it come here.”  Wherever there was!

I think it’s time we give something back to them.

Pathways for Veterans is dedicated to healing the spiritual war wounds of the men and women of our military. Our mission is to create a safe environment where all veterans can experience being heard and are given the tools to re-purpose themselves in mind, body and spirit.

Ordinary people can go and make a donation to Pathways for Veterans

http://pathwaysforveterans.com/littleton

to help Veterans get some much-needed alternative therapy to treat their whole person – body, mind and spirit.  This program will help them look at the changes in who they are now and learn to accept themselves in the process.

Combined with the sound and vibrational sessions on the RestStation Lounge (see blog articles) they can receive treatment for a multitude of things:

  1. PTSD
  2. Anxiety
  3. Depression
  4. Muscle Pain
  5. Radiation Burns
  6. Loss of Limb Pain
  7. Insomnia and nightmares and so much more.

Is there a Veteran in your life?  Please share my blog with them.  Invite them to see what a person’s experience is in straight out terms.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge —

Muscle Pain and Injury;  Duration:  52:42m

I chose this session because I had been hurt.  I pulled a muscle from my armpit across my chest.  It hurt to breathe.  My muscles were incredibly sore just sitting at rest.  I had bruises.  The muscle from under my arm across my chest was in agony and I couldn’t take a deep breath.  I found myself moaning in pain without realizing it.

I thought I would see if I could feel any immediate relief or results from doing this session on the Lounge.

Well, I fell asleep.  I wouldn’t have thought I would.

I noticed myself getting goosebumps on my arms and legs again during the session, which I thought was interesting because I was thinking about it being from the sound and vibration as I wasn’t cold.

The next thing,  I woke up because the sound and vibration had stopped.

My muscle pain isn’t completely gone; but it is a lot less severe than it was when I laid down on the Lounge.    I went to bed.

The next morning, I noticed my bruises had spots of yellow in them which indicate healing is progressing.  Before my session, they were only black and blue.

My chest still hurt when I took a breath, but it was no longer a shallow breath.  I wasn’t moaning if I moved anymore.  I put a topical cream on the muscle that was the most painful (yet less than it was before my session) and went to work.

Later that day, I realized I was breathing better and the pain was continuing to lessen.  I know this is because of the session I did on the Lounge; as that was the only thing I had done differently for this sprain/strain.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge —

Gong Bath – Duration:  22:13m

I chose the gong bath because I have a gong and do group sound therapy sessions with it and other sound instruments.  I have also attended gong sessions that others have done and find them to be very calming and relaxing in general.

I have never had one laying on a Lounge that is vibrating to the frequencies of the Gong and sending those frequencies through my body in waves!  It was amazing!

I had my feet crossed.  I could feel the vibration strongly in my legs, back, and chest.  I couldn’t tell if the waves were coming up or down my body just that they were infusing me.

At one point, all the hair on my body was standing on end.  This often happens at higher sound vibrations and frequencies when you get this ‘cold’ feeling.  You’re not really cold just having an energetic shift in your vibrational resonance pattern.

This session was very relaxing and yet clearing at the same time.  I felt like I had been washed clean before heading to bed.

A very different feeling than when I am doing a Gong Bath where I am playing the gong.  Or when I am receiving a Gong Bath from someone else.  Then you are surrounded and awash with the sound and frequencies.  But it doesn’t feel the same as when you are laying on something that is channeling those same frequencies and vibrations on and through your body.  It is infusing you on a cellular level and working it’s way out.

I believe that we all resonate to a specific frequency anyway; as do our organs and cells.  This will attune you to the higher vibrational frequencies of the gong.

So hard to describe to someone who hasn’t experienced it.

Are you ready to try it out yet?

My next session with the RestStation Lounge–

Energize and Recharge – Duration 30:08m

First, it helped to calm me down.  That was not what I expected.  There were some very soothing sounds and vibrations.

I’d done this session before quite awhile ago and it felt very different to me now.  Of course, I’m different now.

When the session was over, I realized I wasn’t sure if I was energized and needed a little longer to discover if I actually was…

An hour later …

OMG!  Energizer bunny!!  I got so much accomplished today and even went out with friends tonight to celebrate a birthday with a dinner party.

Usually after a day full of work and chores, I’m pretty beat at night and can’t seem to get the energy to get dressed and go out.  Not the case tonight after my session on the Lounge.

I didn’t feel energized immediately after, which was unusual and why I wanted to give it a little time to see how I actually felt.

This is a great way to start your day.  Or a great way to give you a boost after work.  I’ve even used this session after working all day to give me the energy to go out at night or to work on other things at night.

It is perfect when you need an energy lift.  It is on my daily and/or weekly list as needed.  It’s a wonderful feeling to know that I can re-energize whenever I am tired and haven’t finished my day or commitments.

Even if it is to go food shopping or some other chores after working all day.  You know the feeling when you just want to kick off your shoes, and chill out?  Well, now I do it on the RestStation Lounge and take 30 minutes to re-energize for what I have to do next.  In just a short time, I’m ready to go again.

My Journey as a Sound Therapist with the RestStation Lounge 12/29/17

My next session with the RestStation Lounge was Etheric Sweep – Duration:  48:09

I just had the most amazing experience and session with the RestStation Lounge.  Etheric Sweep.

First, there was no vibration to speak of in the Lounge.  I almost went to figure out why and realized etheric meant energy field.

I never gave crossing my feet another thought.  This was definitely a sound attunement, a caress of spirit and a reminder of all that you are in the midst of the chaos.

I soared on the sound.  I literally felt personally serenaded by the violins and enticed into a journey of discovery.  I was enfolded and encased in the power and the frequency of the sounds as the tones soothed my spirit and enlivened my heart.

Some brought specific people to mind and I looked at those relationships from a place of love and gratitude and Blessings.

I felt every pore of my skin and cell in my body as it began to resonate to a different frequency of love.

My entire energy field was loved and given peace.  What a wonderful feeling to let go of my day and come back to myself!

I will do this session again tomorrow and see if it has the same effect on me as it did this evening.

WOW!!!!!

My Journey as a Sound Therapist With the RestStation Lounge (18)

My next session with the RestStation Lounge …

It didn’t happen!  My laptop went on the fritz!  Something was wrong with my laptop, not the Lounge.  I spent two days with a blue screen and a message that said, “We are updating your online security.”  What??!!

I had never seen anything like this on my computer.  It stayed there for two days.  Just a blue screen with that sentence on it.  Honestly, it freaked me out because so much of what I do is stored on that laptop.

Fear can be all-consuming sometimes.  Does anyone know what I’m talking about here?

I was so afraid that my laptop was irreparably broken and then what would I do.  I certainly didn’t have the money to replace it right now.  Additionally, I couldn’t use it with the RestStation Lounge.

It took me 3 days to get everything working correctly on my computer again.  God bless troubleshooting.  Although the additional systems installed with Windows 10 can be extremely frustrating if you choose to not use them as they slow the other functions down.  I’m not going off into a computer lesson or tangent here, so back on track.

What I did notice, blew my mind.  By the fourth day of not being able to use the RestStation Lounge, I noticed my neck was getting stiffer and my range of motion was getting more limited.  You might remember, I had been diagnosed with pinched nerves in my neck resulting from an injury at work.

My immediate response was to get my tuning forks and get on the BioMat.  For those of you who are not familiar with the BioMat, it is a 1 1/2″ thick mat that goes on a massage table or floor.  It has amethyst crystals in it, moves infrared heat through it and negative ions to create an energetic field of about a foot around it.  That includes the person laying on the mat.  (I’m a distributor of the BioMat as well.)  The pillow that comes with the mat has different crystals in it and creates a cooling sensation in the head as the infrared works with the rest of the body.

Anyway, I digress.  I spent hours on the BioMat.  Seriously, 3-4 hours a day to try to continue the progress on my neck and head that I had achieved on the RestStation Lounge.  I used OM Unison and OM Octave tuning forks on my head and neck to try to release the increasing tension I could feel building up again.  The migraine was like an echo circling on the right side of my head.  Nothing like before when I had to get a nerve block after 3 weeks of having it; but it was a shadow back where the migraine had been.

It’s been a week without the RestStation Lounge! while I’m trying to figure out how to get another electronic device to hook up the sound and vibrational frequency programming to the Lounge.  The potential sessions are on the internet.

I also discovered during this time, you can use YouTube and put those sound sessions through the Lounge as well.  That means not only do I have access to all the sessions programmed through http://pathways2purpose.org for the Lounge, but access to thousands of sound and vibrational sessions on YouTube

Here’s the part that really threw me.  My range of motion in my neck has decreased significantly without the daily use of the RestStation Lounge.  Wow!!

By significantly, I mean back to 1-2″ range of motion in all directions with my neck.  The pain has escalated to where I’ve been giving the pharmaceuticals they prescribed for me longing glances.

I’ve managed the pain and avoided taking pharmaceuticals with tuning forks and the BioMat.  However, without the RestStation Lounge included in my treatment protocol, I seem to be stuck.

I knew the RestStation Lounge was doing amazing things with the pain, nerves and range of motion in my neck; but even I did not realize how amazing!

I’ve made arrangements to get a Chromebook to enable me to get back on the Lounge and do additional sessions.   I’m expecting that to arrive today.  I’m excited to see the difference in my physical pain, range of motion and general health and well-being once I am again able to use the Lounge.

Stay posted!

I don’t know if you are half as excited as I am at this experience!?  I intended to be my experimental guinea pig in this process; but even I did not realize how much that would be true.  The universe is definitely in control here.

Thanks for being a part of this journey with me so far.

My next session with the RestStation Lounge:

Hypothyroid – Duration = 21:17

Having been previously diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I thought this might be a good session for me to help heal that issue.  If you have this condition, you know it has many, many effects that are unpleasant from extremely dry skin to hair loss, to lack of sleep or constant exhaustion to just name a few.

At first, I just enjoyed the vibrations coming from the Lounge.  I had automatically crossed my ankles left over right this time.  Within the first two moments of laying down on the Lounge, I could feel the vibrations in my thyroid.

The vibration itself seemed more centered in my hips/legs in the physical Lounge; but I could REALLY feel it in my throat.

It was like it skipped over everything in between and went directly to where it was needed the most to bring my body back into resonance.  I fell asleep.

RestStation Lounge

What a lot of people don’t realize when it comes to thyroid issues is it can become pretty common in men when they reach their early fifties.  In some cases, men even younger.  Many men don’t think of this as a medical issue which can affect them, as it is considered more of a female disease or problem.

Whether you are male or female, having hypothyroidism can be very challenging on a physical level when trying to meet the demands of your life.

I will be doing this session more often to see the long-terms effects I notice on a physical level.

My Journey With the Reststation Lounge (9)

My next session with the Reststation Lounge…

Angel – Duration = 30:28 min

I didn’t feel any vibration.  I kept expecting it and missed it.  There was one crystal bowl – very loud, frequency was off for me.  I found it very annoying, and actually took the headphones off my ears.

There was another spot where I expected the sound and vibration to get lighter and more etheric and it did the exact opposite and got lower and thunderous.

It felt agitating to me.  I could guess it was for grounding to then take it to a higher level, but it felt yucky to me for some reason.  I wanted it to stop.  It felt/sounded like the “da da DA” in a movie or something.  I’ll do a balance because my energy field feels really off in my higher chakras now.

This was completely unexpected for me.  I expected to have a totally different experience.

Same Day

Immediate next session with the Lounge

Chakra Balancing – Duration = 30m

It definitely felt like my chakras were balanced with the sound and vibration of the bed.  However, I still felt a loss in the upper chakras.

I wanted more of the vibration I feel when working with other sound tools like tuning forks and/or bowls when they are placed on the body of a person.  I intend on trying it with a bowl at a later time, or the Chakra Tuning forks for the upper levels.

The Lounge vibration and energy feels like it is targeting the lower physical body and chakras than coming all the way up through the 6th, 7th and 8th chakras.

I’ve since had this conversation with the designer of the Lounge, Gary Ferguson.   We’ve discussed how to include things in the design of the Lounge to bring the sound and vibrational attunement up into the higher levels of the body.
